Everything you need to
trade weeklys with confidence

Successfully trading weekly options takes knowledge, research and analysis. The good news: you don't have to do it all yourself.

990 documented trades · 86.4% win rate · see the full track record

Each figure is a model result calculated from the published entry price and the recorded exit price. It is not a member's return, and it does not include individual fills, fees, taxes or execution differences. Losing trades are counted in that win rate alongside the winning ones.

Weekly Options USA is a publisher of general trading research and education, not a registered investment adviser. Everything we publish is general information, not personal advice, and you make your own trading decisions. Options trading carries substantial risk, including the loss of your entire investment. Past results do not guarantee future results.

What members get

Inside the membership

01

Eight or more in a typical month

Short-term opportunities driven by unexpected events: sudden announcements, mergers, acquisitions, leadership changes, plus earnings plays.

02

Clear trade parameters

Each alert gives you the contract, the entry, our exit guidelines and suggested stops. Use them as published, or adapt them to your own risk tolerance. You make the decisions.

03

The research under the record

Every alert explains why the trade was published, and that explanation stays with it. The public results page shows the numbers on 990 closed trades; membership opens the archive of what Ian wrote on them, hundreds of write-ups going back years. Members tell us this is how they finally learned to read the market themselves.

Weekly options are typically cheaper than their monthly counterparts because they hold less time value. Our alerts are often for options nearing their expiration date, which can let you buy in at an even better price than on the day they were first issued, while you enter and exit more trades and put your money to work again and again.

The person behind the alerts

Researched by a person, not an automated feed.

Every alert is researched, written and personally reviewed by Ian Harvey before it reaches you, an options trader and mentor with more than 30 years of experience doing the work by hand rather than an algorithm or an automated signal service.

Questions

Before you join

How many trade alerts will I receive?
At least eight, and usually a good deal more. Over the last two years the median month had 13 alerts, the busiest 20 and the quietest 8. They arrive by email and in the member area before the market opens. Eight is a minimum rather than a quota: every candidate goes through the same screen first, the market context that week, the catalyst behind the move, whether the contract has the volume and the spread to trade properly, and whether the premium at risk is justified by the expected move. The count in any month is whatever cleared it. Count them yourself if you like, because every alert goes on the public track record.
What does each alert include?
The contract (ticker, strike, expiration), suggested entry price, our entry and exit guidelines, suggested stops, and the reasoning behind the trade. Exit levels are guidelines, not directions: you set your own stop-loss and profit levels to your own risk tolerance and place your own orders. In periods of high volatility the final entry price may need to be decided by you, and we explain how.
Do I need to be an experienced trader?
You need a brokerage account approved for buying options, and a basic understanding of placing an options order. Beyond that, the service is designed for busy people: each alert sets out what we published and the reasoning behind it, so you can take the published entry and exit guidelines as your starting parameters, or use the research to reach your own view. Either way the decision and the order are yours. Our free education library covers the fundamentals.
How long does a typical trade last?
Most trades are in and out within a few days to two weeks. Weekly options target short-term opportunities created by events like earnings, mergers and announcements.
Can I see your results before joining?
Yes. Every alerted trade since 2020 is on the track record page, including the losses, with the contract, the date, the entry, the exit and the result. Go through it, then join.
If the track record is public, what does membership add?
The public page gives you the numbers: the contract, the date, the published entry and exit prices, and how it finished. What it has never carried is the research underneath. Membership opens the archive of Ian's original write-ups, hundreds of them, each one the case for that trade in his own words exactly as members read it on the day, on the losing trades as much as the winning ones. You can search the whole archive by ticker or keyword, and read it week by week. That is the part of the record no visitor sees.
Is the $19 pass available more than once?
No. The 14-Day Research Desk Pass is an introductory offer and it runs once per account. If you have already used yours, the next step is the monthly membership or the Trader's Trio.
How do I cancel?
Monthly membership can be canceled any time from your account page or by contacting us, and you keep access for the period you have paid for.
Is this financial advice?
No. Weekly Options USA is a publisher of trading research and information, not a registered investment adviser. Options trading involves substantial risk, and you should only trade with capital you can afford to lose.

I really like Weekly Options USA for busy professionals like myself. I was learning how to day trade the last 6 months and it's been almost impossible for me to make any trades. The decades and decades of your company experience is exactly what I am looking for. Plus, I like the fact we are still in and out of most trades within a few days to a week or two. Thank you so much for offering this service for busy professionals like myself because I felt lost until I found your service.
