Full spoken transcript

0:01 The research arrives

You're at home when Ian's alert arrives. You read why he chose the trade, its catalysts and his technical analysis.

0:10 Work through your numbers

Before buying, you enter your price and contract count in the Position Planner to work through your own numbers.

0:18 Cost and maximum loss

You can see the cost and the most you could lose, in dollars, before you commit.

0:23 Reference levels

It shows twenty, fifty and one hundred per cent reference levels, plus the sixty per cent stop, in dollars from your price.

0:32 Plan your exits

You plan exits for your own risk, splitting contracts between levels, and compare dollar outcomes, including if the stop comes first.

0:42 Expiry and break-even

The payoff chart shows expiry values and the break-even share price. With time left, a contract's usually worth more than its expiry value.

0:52 Record your exit

Later that week, you record what you did, your exit price and date, and what you learned.

0:59 Compare your result

Your journal puts your result beside the published one. You can see where your decisions differed on each trade.

1:06 The published record

Track Record Lab holds every published result, wins and losses. Saving your plan and your record to the journal comes with full membership. Every decision stays yours.
